Another Blog…

I know what you’re thinking…”Great. Another twenty something with a blog.” And believe me, I’ve thought the same thing way too many times. But, someone who’s really special to me told me to write for me and not for anyone else. So, here I am. Doing it.

The fact of the matter is, I love to write. Always have, always will. When I was a little girl, I used to have notebooks filled with short stories that would never see the light of day or diary entries about a boy who was just SO HAWT. It wasn’t always good. It wasn’t always grammatically correct. But, it was mine, and I loved it. As an adult, I’ve developed more complex thoughts, opinions, passions, and so much more. However, I’ve also developed more insecurities about my writing and about what people would think of it.

Now you’re probably asking, “If you’re so insecure about your writing, why are you starting a public blog and opening yourself up to judgements about it?” And to that I say, “F**k em,” (sorry mom). If you don’t like my writing, that’s okay, you don’t have to read it. If you don’t like my opinions, that’s okay, you don’t have to agree with them (actually I do very much enjoy a mature debate once in a while). If you think I’m a narcissist for using a platform that we are blessed to have, that’s okay, I probably am.

As a millennial, I can’t tell you how many insults older generations can come with about my generation. So instead of denying them or arguing about them, I’m just here accepting them, and I hope you can do the same. Chase your dreams, express yourself, vent till your heart’s content, and don’t you dare apologize for it because I’m not going to.

thanks for reading. here’s to this new thing

much love

  1. oh, don’t worry about those short stories, baby. Mommy has an active red pen. I’m less shocked by the F word and more shocked that there is material out there that needs red lining…

And I’ll even give you the family discount…
